Epsom by John Benton-Harris, 1977 Benton-Harris was a close friend of Tony Ray-Jones, and indeed printed much of the latter's work after his death. He was a regular visitor to Ireland during the 1980s and I acquired this print from him on a swap basis. His style, as exemplified in this picture, bears more than a passing resemblance to that of Ray-Jones and to that of the later star of contemporary English photography, Martin Parr.
